Bathtub and shower in new luxury homeThis year, our customers have come to rely on our remodeling services and construction services to completely transform their bathrooms. We have noticed trends in the bathroom that nearly all of our clients want in their homes this year. If you are looking to give your bathroom the facelift it needs, look at these 6 trends to get some inspiration.

1. Unique Flooring

Flooring has become the center of attention for bathrooms in 2015. From brightly colored flooring to completely custom flooring, we have seen it all this year. Our homeowners are looking to make their bathrooms for more than just function. They are adding sophisticated and unique flooring to help their powder room’s pop as a beautiful feature of the home.

2. Sustainable Features

This is one of our favorite trends. We love to help our homeowners create beautiful bathrooms that can also be sustainable. For added sustainability, we also finish off each room with elegant, water-saving fixtures.

These fixtures, commonly called low flow fixtures, use less water per minute than traditional models. There are many fixtures that can be used throughout the bathroom. From shower heads to toilets, and everything in-between, these fixtures will help save precious resources and monthly costs.

3. Open Showers

Larger, walk-in showers are becoming increasingly popular this year. The bigger the better in the bathroom. We have even seen homeowners with smaller bathrooms move their layout around in order to accommodate a larger shower.

Floor to ceiling, or wall-to-wall showers with beautiful tile helps create a beautiful and functional sanctuary in the home.

4. Geometric Tile Designs

Another way that homeowners like to create unique designs in their homes is through geometric tile designs. Using lines and geometric shapes creates a fresh and unique look in the bathroom that is in trend this year.

The eye-catching look of geometric tiles is a great design option for homeowners that are looking to add visual interest or depth to a smaller space.

5. Natural Elements

Natural stone or wood is becoming more of a staple in the bathroom this year. The calming effect that natural elements like stone and wood can create are a perfect addition to the bathroom.

We have seen homeowner’s deck out their bathrooms in these materials this year to create spaces that are welcoming and serene.

6. Freestanding Tubs

Homeowners in 2015 love a freestanding tub. From classic claw-foot tubs to sculptural modern designs, we have seen them all this year. Rounded bathtubs can bring in softness to an angular bathroom while also acting as a centerpiece for the bathroom.

We believe this is one of the biggest trends this year. Homeowners are incorporating designs throughout the home that make it more relaxing to come home to after a long day. Our customers love to soak in style this year with this trend.

Can’t wait to revamp your bathroom? We hope that you consider some of this year’s biggest trends when laying out the design for your space.
